Processing Acknowledgement Form (PAF)
Required by USPS before we can mail on your organization’s behalf for the first time.
What Is a PAF?
Before we mail on your behalf for the first time, you’ll need to sign a PAF (Processing Acknowledgement Form). This form grants Acculist Wilson permission to process, sort, and mail on your organization’s behalf.
It’s a USPS requirement that registers your organization as the mail owner and Acculist as the processing company. There is no fee for the PAF — contact our office and we’ll send you the electronic form to complete.
Request your PAF today →Plan Ahead — Allow 5+ Business Days
If you plan to mail in the next 30 days, contact our office right away. The PAF process — USPS registration through final approval — can take up to 5 business days start to finish.

Letters vs. Flats — What Class Is Your Mail Piece?
USPS determines postage rates based on the dimensions and weight of each mail piece. Here’s what that means for your mailing.
Letters & Postcards
90% of the bulk mail we process qualifies as a “letter” or standard postcard. These pieces meet USPS size and weight standards and receive the discounted bulk mail rates listed above.
Flats
Mail pieces larger than USPS letter standards are classified as “Flats.” Postage is higher than letter rates — but still far lower than mailing without a bulk permit. We process a 10-piece sample to quote exact flat postage.
95% of Our Volume
The vast majority of bulk mail we process falls under Standard Marketing Mail or Non-Profit Letters — the two most cost-effective classes for direct mail and mail marketing campaigns.
Non-Profit Mail Registration
Applying for Non-Profit Postage Status
501(c)(3) organizations can apply for Non-Profit mailing status with USPS to access the lowest available bulk mail rates ($0.19–$0.22/piece vs. $0.37–$0.41 for standard marketing mail).
To register, download and submit USPS Form PS3624 to your local post office. Once approved, your Non-Profit authorization stays active as long as you mail at least once every 1–2 years through our system. If you lapse, you’ll need to resubmit.
Timeline: Approval can take 5 business days to 2 months depending on USPS workload — submit early.
